HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 19, 2023) – The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars and the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball have announced Hagerstown’s inaugural season schedule.
“The release of the 2024 schedule is an exciting moment for the Flying Boxcars and our fans” said General Manager David Blenckstone. “We can’t wait to move into our new downtown ballpark and bring minor league baseball and affordable, fun, family entertainment back to the Hub City.”
The Flying Boxcars will play their first ever game on Thursday, April 25th, as they kick off the inaugural season on the road in a four-game series versus the York Revolution.
Hagerstown will close out the month of April with their second series on the road against the reigning Atlantic League champion Lancaster Barnstormers.
The club’s first ever homestand is set to begin on Friday, May 3rd, when the Flying Boxcars open their doors to their very own brand-new Downtown Hagerstown Ballpark. The Flying Boxcars will play host to the Long Island Ducks, followed by a three-game series versus the Gastonia Honey Hunters to wrap up the homestand.
The Flying Boxcars will play Tuesdays through Sundays and will be on the road on Memorial Day (@ Lexington), Labor Day (@ Gastonia) and the Fourth of July (@ Staten Island).
A full schedule with game times and promotions will be made available at a later date.
