Ballpark FAQs

Meritus Park is a cashless facility. Accepted forms of payment are Visa, Master Card, American Express.

The designated Uber/Lyft/Taxi dropoff location for Meritus Park will be located at all Hatter’s Plaza at 21 Rochester Place, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Please direct all rides to this location to ensure that traffic can flow freely. 

Passengers of legal drinking age with a valid form of identification are invited to consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible, non-disruptive manner. All passengers wishing to purchase an alcoholic beverage will be ID’d.

Passengers are permitted to carry their belongings to the game in bags or backpacks. These are subject to inspection upon entry to the park. DO NOT bring weapons of any kind into Meritus Park.

Meritus Park features several concession options ranging from ballpark hot dogs to crab cakes!  No outside food or beverage may be brought into the venue. Meritus Park is a cashless facility. 

Photography and videography of the park, the players, or the experience may not be used for commercial sale. 

Children under the age of five are not required to purchase a ticket if they plan to sit on an adult’s lap.  However, they still require a free ticket, which can be picked up at the ticket office.

The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars aim to provide a family-friendly atmosphere. Obscene or offensive signs, clothing, language, or gestures will not be tolerated, and we ask that all fans refrain from this behavior. Fans failing to comply with these policies will be asked to leave Meritus Park, and may face permanent expulsion.

Passengers are reminded to stay alert at all times, as bats and balls may enter the stands. You are welcome to keep any ball thrown or hit into the stands. Passengers may not, under any circumstances, interfere with a ball that is in play by leaning over the box seating railing or outfield wall. Violators will be subject to ejection from the park. 

Meritus Park gates will open one hour prior to game time on all days other than Fridays and Saturdays, when they will open 90 minutes prior to game time. In the event of a double header, gates will open thirty minutes prior to first pitch. 

The fan services desk is located on the concourse behind home plate. Stop by, should you have questions, need to check the lost and found, or page a fan while you’re at Meritus Park. The fan services desk is also where you can sign up for all drawings, contests, and park announcements.

In the event of rain, a game is considered rained out if 5 innings (4 1/2 if the Flying Boxcars have the lead) are not played. Should this occur, a ticket may be exchanged at the ticket office for any remaining regular season home game, based on availability, for tickets of equal or lesser value.  No refunds will be issued.

Restrooms are located in the following areas: on the main concourse, along 1st and 3rd base lines. 

In consideration of the health and comfort of others, smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes of any kind are not permitted inside Meritus Park. 

Meritus Park is completely handicap accessible and meets all ADA requirements. Handicap accessible parking is available near the main entrance near the cultural trail, off of Summit Ave.

The Ticket Office is located at the main entrance of Meritus Park, off the cultural trail. On gamedays, the ticket office will open one hour prior to gates opening.

Depending upon circumstance, tickets may be exchanged for a ticket of equal value. Weekday games may be exchanged for weekday games and weekend games may be exchanged for weekend games. No refunds will be made.

Weapons of any kind are not permitted at Meritus Park. 

The Meritus Health First Aid Station is located on the concourse behind home plate.

Please report all injuries, accidents or any illnesses requiring assistance at this location, and do not leave the ballpark without reporting injuries.

You may not bring filled water bottles into Meritus Park. However, you may bring one empty bottle to be filled at our water stations. Water stations are available on the first and third base lines on the concourse.
